Exploring the Treasure Coast
On Friday February 10, I was still a little tired from traveling all day Wednesday, so I took it easy. I started the day by taking a 2 mile walk around the neighborhood, and then decided to try the morning water aerobics at the clubhouse. The morning water aerobics were more just a few women walking around the pool. It truly was just a social hour, but they were great and included me in their talk and gossip. After lunch, I checked out the local Hobe Sound public beach. It took me 20 minutes of driving around the small parking lot to find an open spot, but I was patient and got one. After hanging out there for an hour or so, I swung by the Hobe Sound Nature Center and wildlife refuge and took one of their trails through the scrub and eventually down to the beach.
