A quiet week in Nord Holland

Hanging out at Pepe's House
After a busy 3 weeks of intense tourism, there's nothing better for recovering one's strength than hanging out with a friendly, funny dog...
...who was waiting for me in the window on my arrival in Edam.
Pretty soon Kelly and I were walking Pepe all over Edam, finding sticks along peaceful canals
and scenic bike paths,
meeting new teckel friends,
avoiding bikes,

 admiring the boats,
the local fauna (wait, what?),
and lots and lots of flowers.

Exploring the town

avoiding ferocious neighbors

and hanging around in the garden.

But on Wednesday the famous Edam Kaasmarkt (cheese market) returned.

The local kids were thoroughly enjoying the show.

Going out to dinner with Guido is fun (he's always good for table scraps)

and look who gets to lead us home.

I'll be back as soon as I can!
